STEM4Real Book Series

This book is the first in STEM4Real's series to showcase real-life pioneers in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and empower students from all backgrounds to see themselves in a STEM profession. This book focuses on Professor Tyrone Hayes. Tyrone's observations as a young child fueled his passion for science and career path as a world renowned biologist at the University of California, Berkeley. This book integrates the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) by using reading and literacy to connect students to science instruction by helping them connect their observations on what plants, animals and humans need to survive.
