Event Policies
STEM4Real reserves the right to use any photograph/video without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. STEM4Real may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used, or contracted by STEM4Real, including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.

Media Release
I, the participant, grant permission to STEM4Real and the STEM for ALL Leadership Symposium, hereinafter known as “STEM4Real and the Symposium,” to capture and/or use my name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information and any other information about me, including but not limited to any suggestions, feedback, and information gathered from any assessments (through photographs, videography, recorded audio, audio transcription, other media, etc.) to distribute, display, and prepare derivative works in any form or format and for general and publicity use in media publications, including but not limited to the following:

Videos, photos, internet transmission, teasers or promotional interviews, email blasts, recruiting brochures, newsletters, magazines, general publications, website and/or affiliates, social media accounts and platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, advertising, promotion, and public relation efforts relating to STEM4Real and the Symposium in any and all media, now known or hereafter created.

I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photographs, recordings, media, writings, and/or electronic matter that may be used in conjunction with my name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information and any other information about me now known or hereafter created. I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to said use. Further, I grant STEM4Real and the Symposium the right to charge and receive royalties or other compensation for access to any photographs or electronic matter with my name and/or image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information and any other information about me. I understand that STEM4Real and the Symposium will solely own all the rights in and to such photographs, recordings, media, writings, and/or electronic matter.

I have read this release before signing up, and I fully understand the contents, meaning, and impact of this release. I understand that I am free to address any specific questions regarding this release by submitting those questions in writing prior to signing up, and I agree that my failure to do so will be interpreted as a free and knowledgeable acceptance of the terms of this release.

Media Waiver
STEM4Real intends to take photographs and video of this event for use in STEM4Real news and promotional material, in print, electronic, and other media, including the STEM4Real website. By participating in this event, I grant STEM4Real the right to use any image, photograph, voice, or likeness, without limitation, in its promotional materials and publicity efforts without compensation. All media become the property of STEM4Real. Media may be displayed, distributed, or used by STEM4Real for any purpose.

Code of Conduct & Participation Policy
STEM4Real is a listening organization focused on its participants. Convening Leaders in this industry is designed to increase interaction, engagement, collaboration, connectivity, and community in a fun and safe learning environment.

We value the participation of each member of the community and endeavor to deliver an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Conference participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, courtesy, and respect for others and maintain the highest level of professionalism at all conference programs and events, whether officially sponsored by STEM4Real or not.

All attendees, guests, speakers, organizers, volunteers, partners, vendors, and staff at any STEM4Real event are required to observe the following Code of Conduct.

STEM4Real is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.

All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for the conference.

Be kind to others. Do not insult or defame participants. Harassment in any form, sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not condoned at STEM4Real events. Participants violating these rules may be asked to leave the conference at the sole discretion of STEM4Real. Thank you for helping to make this a welcoming event for all.

Liability Waiver
As a condition of my participation in this event, I hereby waive any claim I may have against STEM4Real and its officers, directors, employees, or agents, or against the presenters or speakers, for reliance on any information presented and release STEM4Real from and against any and all liability for damage or injury that may arise from my participation or attendance at the program. I further understand and agree that all property rights in the material presented, including common law copyright, are expressly reserved to the presenter or speaker or to STEM4Real. I acknowledge that participation in STEM4Real events and activities brings some risk and I do hereby assume responsibility for my own well-being. If another individual participates in my place per STEM4Real’s transfer policy, the new registrant agrees to this disclaimer and waiver by default of transfer.

I understand that travel and gathering involve the risk of sickness, including sickness from COVID-19. I (and on behalf of my guest(s)) waive and release STEM4Real and its sponsors and exhibitors, and their employees and agents, from and against claims, liabilities, and expenses arising from injury, sickness, or death from contraction or spread of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases due to travel to or attendance at an event sponsored by STEM4Real.

I will take necessary precautions while at the event including, but not limited to, engaging in appropriate social distancing, wearing a mask when requested and/or required, minimizing face touching, frequently washing hands, and avoiding risky environments such as overcrowded bars or restaurants. I agree to not attend any STEM4Real event if I feel ill or had recent exposure to a COVID-19 case.

This waiver and release are binding on me and my heirs and successors.
